Thank you Lion’s Gate Alpaca Farm:
Congratulations to Lion’s Gate Alpaca Farm, owned by Linda Rivers, on its purchase of Alpha Carina with her cria at side, DMAR Incan Delight. Carina is a wonderful pr alpaca that will stand in the middle of a crowd to get attention. Of course, this only happens when she is not pregnant.
Alpha Carina is the mother to 5x champion, DMAR Armani, blue ribbon winner, DMAR Siriano, and 2 beautiful foundation females, DMAR Mercedes and DMAR Chablis. Carina throws colors from white to medium fawn to medium brown.
Carina is a wonderful mother with plenty of milk. She will make Lion’s Gate Alpaca Farm a great foundation female. Carina will be bred this fall for a 2013 fall cria.
DMAR Incan Delight is currently 4 mths old. His sire is our medium rose grey herd sire Snowmass Incan Emperor. Incan Delight is a spunky young male with super fine feeling fleece. His conformation is spot on and he is showing wonderful fleece coverage.
In addition to Carina and Incan Lion’s Gate Alpaca Farm also purchased DMAR Chanel with her 2012 cria at side, DMAR Royal Temptation.
DMAR Chanel, a granddaughter of Peruvian Presidio, is also a wonderful mother with plenty of milk. She has really wowed us with her first offspring, RT. Chanel has the girth of her sire, HRAZ Lock & Load, but a soft side that comes from her championship dam, DMAR Athena.
Chanel is carrying baby quality fleece that has crimp, bundles, and has a very soft handle. Chanel will also make a great foundation female. Chanel will be bred this fall as well.
Tom and I are so proud of Chanel’s offspring, DMAR Royal Temptation. He is now 5 mths of age and really looking like a show winner. No, his color is not orange (stupid Georgia clay) but beige. He is sporting a long staple length considering he was just shorn in April. He is incredibly dense with high amplitude crimp and frequency. It looks like a zipper inside. He has the typey head style and his demeanor shows that he will be the leader of his group. We couldn’t have asked for a better offspring from our 5x champion, DMAR Royal Knight. We look forward to Linda Rivers showing this boy off at his first show in November at the GAA Royal Alpaca Challenge.
The alpacas will go to their new home located in Loganville, GA within a couple of weeks where they will meet up with DMAR Apollo and Darwin’s Eros who Linda purchased last year. There the Maremmas, Leo and Adelina, will watch over the herd.
